Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Dear 67-Year-Old Me,

The year is 2035, and we have been retired from education for eight years.

Although retirement was a challenge to begin with, we found our rhythm. We continue to live by this bible verse, because we are truly only promised the current day:

Matthew 6:34: “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”.

Because we have lived one day at a time, 10 years went by without us realizing it. We have donated our time, talent, and treasure in various ways.

We continue to start each day connecting with our mind, body, and spirit. It guides how we want to show up in the world for ourselves and for others.

We love the relationships we have. We’ve been married to the love of our life for 46+ years, we cherish the time we spend with our kids and grandkids, and we have bonded with friends we have made and kept.

Life is good, and we are content. We know that we have overcome challenges in the last 10 years, and yet we are a better version of ourselves because of them.

With Love, 57-Year-Old Me
